ABOUT THE DREAM

We will accomplish our mission by providing each player with an experience that will make them grow athletically, academically, mentally and socially.

Our sports team provides area youth with the opportunity to develop their athletic abilities, understand the importance of teamwork skills, and have a rewarding experience in a safe and positive coaching environment.  We offer year-round programs. In all of our programs, athletes are taught age-appropriate skills and are introduced to relevant, sport-specific game concepts.

Amy Wise-Coble

PRESIDENT 

Amy Wise-Coble founded NWF Dream alongside her good friend Andy Wiggins in 2013.  Since then, the program has served hundreds of kids from all over Northwest Florida.  Having served as the Club's Administrator for the past 9 years, in 2023 Amy is pleased to hand the reins of the travel program over to her daughter Allee while she focuses her time on the necessary fundraising to build the Harrington Hoops Academy.  Amy has always had a passion for basketball playing in her high school years and serving as a hostess for the men's and women's programs during her four years at Auburn University.  Amy currently owns her own business Vacation Rentals of Northwest Florida, the managing entity for Homeowner's Collection in Seaside, FL.  Her two daughters, Allee and Catherine, are both NWF Dream alum and her son Will, a Freshman at South Walton, is still active in the program today.

Dustin Hostetler

VICE PRESIDENT

Dustin Hostetler is the Co-Founder and Visionary of Transformity Solutions LLC. His business consults nationally with CPA firms in the areas of process improvement, workflow management
and technology optimization. Dustin is the industry pioneer in applying Lean Six Sigma process improvement techniques to the CPA profession. Over the past 15+ years of consulting to the profession, he has worked with over 200 firms, including half of the top 100 firms in the country.

Dustin’s bold, yet encouraging, leadership and facilitation style is often described as a “breath of fresh air” from clients. He prides himself on being the trailblazer – and wants his clients to have that mindset as well. He resides in Santa Rosa Beach, FL with his wife, Kim, and his three children, Austin, Taylor and Blake. Originally from Ohio, the Hostetler family moved to Santa Rosa Beach in 2019.

Dustin earned his BSBA in Finance from The Ohio State University and both his Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Master Black Belt certifications from Kent State University.

Angie Nelson

Angie Carpenter Nelson is originally from Mississippi. She graduated from Pillow Academy in 1995 and from Delta State University in 1999 with a degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Chemistry. Having a Basketball Coach for a father, Angie at an early age developed a love and a passion for the game. Under her dad, Angie had a successful high school basketball career leading her team to a State Championship her Junior Year and placing 3rd and 4th in State her Senior and Freshman years. She received many honors for her outstanding ability.

Angie played for Delta State University for one year where her team was in the Elite Eight. Angie's Dad, Durwin Carpenter is the 3rd Active winningest High School Girl's coach in the Nation, with over 1150 wins. Angie is married to Andrew Nelson, and they have two daughters Adyson (14) and Autumn (11).

COACHES

Allee Coble 

Allee coble
Coach Allee is a longtime basketball enthusiast and student of the game. After being a 4-year member of the South Walton High School girl’s varsity basketball team, she went on to become the school’s all-time leading scorer. After graduating in May 2018, Allee moved to Auburn, AL to earn a degree in Exercise Science with a minor in sports coaching from Auburn University. Allee spent one season on Johnnie Harris’s staff as a Student Assistant for the Lady Tigers in the 2021-2022 year.

Upon completion of her undergraduate degree, Coble moved back to Santa Rosa Beach and is part of the SWHS Staff and has taken over the Dream program. As a member of the NWF Dream’s first team, Coble has been an integral part of this organization from the start and looks forward to elevating it to new levels in years to come.

Shay Wiggins

Coach Wiggins attended Kentucky State University, after my senior year at KSU I was invited to the WNBA Combine 2015. Which gave me the opportunity to play in the women’s Euro League, Lebanese league, and Turkish league. In my rookie year, our team won the Estonia Women’s League Championship. In 2018 I decided to retire and began player development programs to help athletes regain their confidence and critical thinking skills. I use basketball as a tool to help athletes transition life skills that can benefit them on and off the court. 

Paxton Dixon

Paxton Dixon grew up in Memphis, TN. He attended South Walton High School from 2011-2015 where he became the school’s all-time leading scorer with 1,483 career points. After graduating, he played Division III college basketball at Birmingham-Southern College. As a freshman, BSC went undefeated in conference, won the SAA conference championship & advanced to the NCAA tournament.

After his playing career was cut short by injuries his sophomore year, Paxton began working in youth development in college. He worked as the site director for the YMCA in Asheville, NC where he ran the Erwin Middle after-school YMCA program. And in his senior year of college, he worked as a student assistant coach for the Birmingham-Southern.

Paxton currently lives near 30A, works as a real estate agent, & currently runs the Point Washington Men’s Basketball Night weekly. 

Bill "Ferg" Ferguson

Coach Ferguson began his coaching career in 1986 as a Head Football Coach and later Athletic Director at Admiral Farragut Academy in St. Petersburg, Florida. At the time it made him the youngest head football coach in the state of Florida. His first experience as a Head Girl's Basketball Coach, was in 1988 when he took over the girl’s program at St. Petersburg Catholic High School, where he also served as the defensive coordinator on the football team before being named Head Football Coach and Athletic Director.

Coach Ferg has coached for over 25 years and is currently the Head Girl's Basketball Coach at Pensacola Catholic High School. PCAT is the third Catholic High school where he has served as a head girl's basketball coach. Along with PCAT and St. Petersburg, he was the head girls’ basketball coach and coached the defensive secondary at St. Frederick Catholic High School in Monroe, LA.

Coach Ferg graduated from LSU in Baton Rouge and earned his master’s degree in athletic administration while serving as a Graduate Assistant at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.

Along with teaching school and coaching, Coach Ferg served as President and CEO of a Nationwide Insurance Agency in Fort Walton Beach, Fl. While in Fort Walton, he coached at both Choctaw and South Walton High Schools.                   
 

McCoy Matthias

McCoy Matthias grew up in Denver, IA and attended Denver High School from 2010-2014. He was a three-year letter winner for the Cyclone football team and a four-year letter winner for the basketball team. He holds the school record for blocks in a season (92).

McCoy attended Division III Luther College in Decorah, IA where he was a four-year letter winner and served as team captain his senior season.  As a Norse, McCoy holds the school record for blocks in a game (7) and ranks fourth in career blocks in school history (105).

After graduating from Luther in 2018 with a degree in business management, McCoy moved to Santa Rosa Beach, where he has worked as a real estate agent ever since.

In the fall of 2022, McCoy joined the South Walton Boys Basketball coaching staff and currently serves as the Freshman coach, while assisting the Varsity and JV teams.
